The town park. A bandstand, a duck pond and the war memorial.
Seabrook Gardens is the town park, a short walk from All Hallows Church. The Council maintains the flowerbeds. There are benches, a duck pond and, in the centre, a bandstand.
The bandstand has been under restoration, as the Chronicle reported in the autumn of 2025. The first concert of the year is given there in May, and the summer fete is held in the Gardens in June.
The war memorial lists the town’s dead from both wars. Remembrance Sunday is observed there in November, with a service at eleven o’clock and wreaths of poppies. For the rest of the year the memorial is occupied by pigeons, which conduct themselves with reasonable dignity.
In fine weather the benches fill early.
Dogs are permitted. Behaviour is expected.
