Advertisements and letters accepted. A number of letters are already in hand.
The Seabrook Chronicle is the town’s weekly newspaper, a thin broadsheet. Its office is on the High Street. The editor is Mr Gareth Price.
The paper reports council business, planning applications, the weather and school sport, and prints letters from readers. A photograph of a resident holding a large marrow appears in most years.
The office is modest: desks, a layout table and filing cabinets full of back issues. It smells of paper and, faintly, of old ink. The archive goes back more than a hundred years, with the exception of 1956, which was lost when the former office burned down.
Classified advertisements and letters are received at the front desk or by post until noon on Tuesday. A box with a thin black border may be had on request. Letters for publication must carry a name and address, and not every letter received can be printed.
